Visiting, quotes and timelines
Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?
No. Walk in Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or Saturday 10am to 2pm at 1700 W 7th Street, Frederick, MD 21702. If you want a designer blocked out for you, call (301) 202-4575 and we will set a time.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. The showroom consultation and the in-home measure and quote are free with no obligation.
How long does a kitchen take?
Value-tier cabinets ship in about a week and countertops are typically installed about seven days after template. Semi-custom cabinets add four to six weeks, custom six to eight.
Do you install, or do I need a contractor?
We install cabinets and countertops with our own crew. For plumbing, electrical or wall changes we can coordinate with your contractor or recommend one.
Who handles the old countertops and cabinets?
We do. Removal, cleanup and disposal are part of our installation.
Cabinets
What is the difference between value, semi-custom and custom cabinets?
Value lines come in stock sizes and ship in days. Semi-custom lines are made to order with modifications and more finishes. Custom lines scale doors to any size, offer inset construction and match colors. All ten brands we carry are grouped this way on the Cabinets page.
Are your cabinets solid wood?
Doors and face frames are solid wood on every line we carry. Boxes are plywood on the value lines we recommend for a kitchen you cook in; some builder-grade options use engineered wood, and we will tell you which.
Do you sell ready-to-assemble cabinets?
Yes. Forevermark, J&K, CNC, KCD and Timberpeak are available assembled or flat packed. We usually deliver them assembled.
Can I see a door in a different color?
Yes. On the Forevermark and J&K pages you can switch a door between every finish we carry, and every finish is on a sample in the showroom.
Do you make bathroom vanities?
Every cabinet line has matching vanity bases, and we fabricate vanity tops from any slab in stock.
Countertops
What is included in a countertop package?
The slab, digital laser template, waterjet CNC fabrication, an eased edge, standard sink cutout, installation and the manufacturer's warranty on engineered stone.
Granite, quartz or quartzite: which should I choose?
Quartz for low maintenance and consistent color, quartzite for natural veining with high durability, granite for the best value in a busy kitchen. Marble, porcelain and soapstone each bring a specific look. The countertop pages compare them honestly.
How thick are your countertops?
3 cm (about 1 1/4 inch) is standard. 2 cm is available for some quartz and porcelain.
Can I pick my exact slab?
Yes. With over 100 slabs in stock you choose the actual slab, and we lay out seams and cutouts with you.
Pricing and financing
How do you price a kitchen?
By the cabinet line, the number of cabinets, the slab and the square footage of countertop. You get one itemized quote after the in-home measure. We do not publish prices online because every kitchen is different.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, through Synchrony: 6, 12 or 18 months interest free on approved credit. Apply online or in the showroom.
Do you work with builders and remodelers?
Yes. Ask about our trade program: volume orders, scheduled deliveries and one point of contact.
Service area and showroom
Which areas do you serve?
Frederick County (Frederick, Urbana, Walkersville, Middletown, New Market, Thurmont, Brunswick), Hagerstown and Washington County, Montgomery County, Baltimore County, Martinsburg and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, and the DC suburbs.
Is there a travel charge outside Frederick?
Not within our standard service area. For projects beyond it we quote travel up front.
Where is the showroom?
1700 W 7th Street, Frederick, MD 21702, off US-15 at the 7th Street exit, with parking in front.
